Network Collage · Last updated: May 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Totally Legit LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Network Collage (the “Service”) at https://NetworkCollage.com, including when you connect an Instagram account through Meta’s APIs or participate through our event kiosk.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information from Instagram / Meta

If you sign in with Instagram or we sync content using the Instagram Platform APIs (including the Instagram Graph API), we may receive and store the following, depending on the permissions you grant:

  • Account information: Instagram user ID, username, and profile picture URL.
  • Media and posts: media ID, media type, media URL, thumbnail URL, permalink, caption, timestamp, and like count.
  • Derived data: hashtag and @mention counts parsed from captions to build network links in the collage.
  • Access tokens: OAuth or long-lived access tokens used to authenticate API requests on your behalf. Tokens are stored on our servers and are not displayed in the public collage.

We only request permissions necessary to provide the Service (for example, instagram_basic and related permissions configured in our Meta app). We do not receive your Instagram password.

1.2 Information you provide manually

  • Central account username: the Instagram username you set as the hub of your collage.
  • Event kiosk: if you use our kiosk page, we collect your name, a short description of what you create, and a connection word you choose. This information is stored to display you in the network collage and to link you with others who use the same word.

1.3 Technical and usage information

Our servers may automatically collect standard log data (such as IP address, browser type, request time, and pages viewed) for security, debugging, and operation of the Service.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Build and display your 3D network collage visualization.
  • Connect posts by shared hashtags, @mentions, and links to the central hub account.
  • Sync and update content from Instagram when you request a sync or sign in.
  • Operate the event kiosk and include attendee submissions in the collage.
  • Proxy images for display in the collage (your browser requests images through our image proxy).
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Comply with applicable law and Meta Platform Terms.

We do not use Instagram data to serve third-party advertising, sell your data, or build unrelated marketing profiles.

3. How we share information

  • Public collage: synced Instagram media (images, captions, usernames) and kiosk submissions may be visible to anyone who can access your collage URL or event display.
  • Service providers: hosting and infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Meta / Instagram: when you use Instagram login or API features, your use is also subject to Instagram’s Terms of Use and Meta’s Privacy Policy.
  • Legal requirements: if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data retention

We retain Instagram-sourced content and kiosk submissions for as long as needed to operate the Service or until you request deletion (see Section 6). Access tokens are retained until you disconnect the app, revoke access in Instagram/Facebook settings, or we delete them after you request account removal.

5. Your choices

  • Revoke Instagram access: remove our app in Facebook Apps and Websites settings or Instagram connected apps, then request deletion below.
  • Stop syncing: do not use the sync or sign-in features; revoke tokens as above.
  • Kiosk data: contact us to remove kiosk entries you submitted.

6. How to request deletion of your data

You may request deletion of data we hold about you at any time. We will process verified requests within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days) unless we must retain certain information for legal reasons.

To request deletion:

  1. Email shelly [at] totallylegitllc [dot] com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
  2. Include your Instagram username (if applicable), the email associated with your account (if any), and whether you used the event kiosk.
  3. If you connected via Meta, revoke our app in Facebook/Instagram settings (see Section 5).

For more detail, see our Data Deletion Instructions page (https://NetworkCollage.com/data-deletion).

If you submitted a deletion request through Facebook/Instagram’s “Send Request” flow, you may receive a confirmation code—include that code in your email to help us locate your request.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International users

If you access the Service from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be transferred to and processed in that country.

10. Meta Platform compliance

Our use of Meta Platform APIs (including Instagram data) complies with the Meta Platform Terms and applicable Developer Policies. Instagram data is used only to provide the Service described here and is not used for purposes prohibited by Meta (such as unauthorized resale, surveillance, or unrelated advertising).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
